Oil and gas

Norwegian-Russian business cooperation within oil & gas sector has a long tradition and Norwegian and Russian oil & gas companies are still operative in the Russian market. Statoil - Rosneft cooperation is developing successfully both offshore and onshore in Norway and in Russia. FMC Technology are continuing their support to the already producing Kirinskoe field in the Russian Far East. Suppliers are delivering equipment and services to Russian buyers and in the North. Transport and logistic developments and solutions are emerging. Besides Ølen Betong in Murmansk has successfully delivered several thousand Pile Caps to Sabetta in Yamal. INTSOK has ongoing useful qualification programs, and research and educational cooperation within oil and gas sector is as previously comprehensive.
Today the Russian upstream companies Lukoil, Rosneft, Gazprom and LetterOne are all engaged on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The Norwegian Government has recently approved licenses to Russian oil and gas companies on the NCS. Efficiency measures in O&G sector are initiated in a time with low oil prices and thus making operations in regions with harsh climate profitable.
What is the status of today’s O & G bilateral cooperation? What kind of developments can we expect on short- and long term? What do Russian O& G companies think about present and future cooperation with Norwegian partners? Should Norwegian O&G companies be more active in the Russian market, both onshore and offshore? This and more will be discussed in this parallel session. We look forward to your active participation.
